We understand that accidents happen. Whether it’s a spilled drink, a chipped plate, or a moment of forgetfulness, we are here to address issues with fairness and understanding. Our properties are cherished properties, and we kindly ask that all guests treat them with care and respect and to ensure a seamless experience for everyone, we’ve established clear policies for handling damage that may occur during your stay.

Our Approach to Damage Protection

We believe in being upfront about how we handle damage to our properties. For select properties, we may collect a refundable damage deposit before your stay. This deposit acts as a safeguard for addressing any significant issues that arise. Minor wear and tear—the natural result of enjoying a home—is not subject to damage charges. However, more substantial damage, such as broken furniture, missing items, or significant breakage of dishware, may require additional attention.

Documenting and Resolving Issues

When damage occurs, our team follows a straightforward process to ensure fair resolution:

  • Our team will inspect the property after each guest’s stay. Any damage identified will be documented with photographs to maintain transparency.
  • In the rare event of significant damage, we will notify you promptly and provide clear details, including pictures of the damage and an explanation of the issue.
  • Depending on the situation, we may invoice for the cost of repairs or replacement. This will include a copy of the receipt or estimate to ensure transparency.

If a damage deposit was collected, the necessary amount will be deducted, and the remaining balance, if any, will be refunded promptly.

What We Consider Normal Wear and Tear

We understand that some signs of use are inevitable. Scuffed walls, light scratches, or the occasional broken glass are a natural part of hosting guests and are not something we hold you accountable for. Our focus is on significant damage that exceeds normal wear and tear.

Guest Responsibility

We ask that all guests treat our properties with care and respect, as they would their own home. Small efforts, like using coasters on tables or handling furniture and appliances with care, go a long way in preserving the beauty and function of the home.

Our Commitment to Maintenance

We’re committed to providing well-maintained properties so that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. If something is not functioning properly, we encourage you to let us know right away so we can address it before it becomes a larger issue.
